The Team

 Thank you Anoushka!

We thank Anoushka for helping to bring yoga to everyone. She no longer teaches in Earlsfield but long may Anoushka’s Yoga continue. She was our inspiration!

(.....she still does private classes and Reiki)

Good luck Tish

Tish is the main teacher at Anoushka's Yoga. She has been inspired by Anoushka to help students re-energise, relax and have fun whilst learning about the many benefits and different types of yoga. She will be your main contact and welcomes all feedback.

Welcome Lisa-Marie Smith

Come and see Lisa at 8:30pm on every other Thursday and let her guide you whatever your level. With her soothing voice and graceful presence you will shape up whilst having a truly relaxing experience. Her training includes Sivananda and Power Yoga

Enjoy your pregnancy with Lon Gibbons

Visit Lon on Sundays at 5:45pm. With her wealth of knowledge about each stage of your pregnancy you can relax and enjoy a sense of inner calm as you are guided through the changes that will take place.

Meet The Team

Anoushka

Anoushka Pletts, Yoga Teacher, Therapist and Reiki practitioner. Anoushka founded the yoga school in Earlsfield and, although she has now moved on, the courses continue to sell out. The successful string of International retreats have been featured in Grazia, Yoga Magazine, and given ‘best retreat’ by the editor of the Observer. Anoushka no longer teaches the classes but offers private sessions and Reiki. Tish Webster has been studying with Anoushka and now runs the classes.

Tish

Tish Webster, Yoga Teacher, was originally inspired by Anoushka to understand the connection between body and mind, as her father was suffering from Motor Neurone Disease. She strongly believes that prevention is better than cure and that Yoga is the best way to help prevent illness of any kind. She has trained in Sivananda yoga, QiYoga (yoga and Chi Gung), and Power Yoga and is now studying Thai Yoga Massage to really understand the body of every student she meets and be able to adapt every class to suit your needs. Her classes are dynamic and energizing, but at the same time deeply relaxing.  She combines yoga and thai yoga massage techniques to take you deeper in your practice, hoping to improve your overall health and fitness and allow you to enjoy a little time for yourself.

Lisa Smith, Yoga Teacher, started practicing yoga to compliment other, more high impact sports interests, and to learn more about the mental well being yoga can give. After practicing Hatha Yoga, Satyananda yoga and Sivananda yoga, Lisa was inspired from the benefits of her own practice to teach.  Lisa has both Sivananda and Power yoga teaching qualifications.  She hopes to help students improve their own mental and physical well being and give them a time to relax and enjoy themselves.

Lon Gibbons, Yoga Teacher and Doula (birth companion). Lon's teaching style is heavily influenced by Satyananda Yoga, a traditional form of Hatha yoga incorporating all the elements of yoga postures (asana), breathing practices (pranayama), meditation & deep relaxation (yoga nidra). Her yoga journey began with a dedicated Astanga practice and she continues to be inspired by flowing styles of yoga, where the breath guides the practice and leads to deep internal awareness. Finding the balance between dynamic and passive is explored through using Restorative Yoga poses and techniques.

Indira Lopez, Iyengar Yoga Teacher and Doula (birth companion). Indira teaches Iyengar yoga and feels that the practice of yoga can help us connect body, mind and heart to tap into our inner wisdom.  She has been teaching yoga since 2001 and has studied with several senior teachers including BKS Iyengar and his daughter, Geetaji, in India.  Indira's love and passion for yoga grew through her own three pregnancies, and the practice of yoga was a wonderful tool for her three amazing fully natural birth experiences (hospital and homebirth).  She currently works as a recognized Doula, or birth companion.  She is a true fan of Michel Odent, and has studied Active Birth with Janet Balaskas and Birthing from Within by Pam England: the art of childbirth preparation.  As an accredited La Leche League breastfeeding counsellor, she has supported hundreds of mums and babies through the national helpline and currently co-leads the West London monthly group.  Her teaching and birth preparation workshops give an invaluable insight for the first time mum.
