What we do
Hatha yoga to
stimulate the physical body, relax
the mind and feel rejuvenated. Hatha Yoga
essentially means the practice of physical
postures (asanas). We offer small classes
in Earlsfield from an active 'yang' practice to
a receptive 'yin' practice to achieve overall
balance in the body and mind.

Our style
We understand that there is no one way to practice yoga and therefore call ourselves a Hatha
Yoga school which encompasses many of the well
known styles of yoga such as Sivananda, Power
yoga, Vinyasa Flow, Yin Yoga.....an eclectic mix
to suit you.
There are many different styles of yoga. Hatha yoga
is the physical practice of yoga and encourages the development of physical, mental and spiritual well-being in a way that suits you.
Beginners
Our beginner’s classes follow the Sivananda
sequence which is a set sequence of postures
designed for energetic balance and to make you
feel great. Then we move on to see how the
same basic postures can be used in a way that
best accomplishes your intention for your yoga
practice and variations for a creative practice.
The poses and yoga sequences are taught with a
deep knowledge of optimal body alignment and
tools for personal transformation, moving you
towards stillness within the mind through
mindfulness.
Anoushka’s Yoga encourages students in a relaxed environment to listen to their body, relax their mind and progress at their own pace. The unique approach to Anoushka’s yoga is to make classes accessible and fun and allow you to understand how yoga can work for you.
Background
Anoushka’s Yoga was
founded by Anoushka Pletts in 2003. She has had
phenomenal success, establishing the school in Earlsfield, as well as running retreats in
Ulpotha, Egypt, West Crete and Turkey, as
featured in the Yoga Magazine, The Observer,
Marie Claire and Grazia.
Tish Webster now runs
Anoushka's Yoga. Tish has trained in various
different styles of yoga to be able to bring to
her classes what the student requires on that
given day from a vibrant active practice to a
gentle receptive style. She also incorporates Thai yoga massage
techniques to take your practice even further
and enjoy deep relaxation.
Our Mission:
To inspire you! Whether a beginner or advanced,
practice yoga in a comfortable, soothing
environment. Using yoga as a human movement
system, the classes will encourage you to relax,
improve self confidence, re-energize and
reconnect with your body. You will be truly
inspired to integrate balance and wellness into your life.
Class Structure:
We have a theme to each class to give students a tangible journey. Each class
then revolves around the theme to demonstrate
the versatility of yoga and deepen your practice.
The class will take you through the key elements
of yoga including posture and alignment,
strength, flexibility, balance, stress relief,
relaxation and meditation and heightened
consciousness. Each class ends with deep
relaxation, meditation and maybe some gentle
massage.
Students are encouraged to question
their practice and teachings.
Anoushka’s Yoga has small classes enabling you
to truly understand how yoga works for you.
